SHEEDY PSYCHOLOGY

Psychological Counselling and Programs to Support Your Wellbeing

About Sheedy Psychology

Sheedy Psychology was created to provide a calm and supportive space where you can pause, make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward.

We’ll work together on what matters most to you, at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to help you feel calmer, think more clearly and feel more confident in managing life’s challenges.

Drawing on psychological science and strategies, mind‑body medicine and mindfulness practices, I offer evidence‑based counselling and practical strategies to help adults and young adults to manage stress, build resilience and make meaningful changes in their lives.

How Counselling Can Help

Life can feel overwhelming at times. You might be struggling to switch off, feeling more anxious or finding it harder to enjoy things. Perhaps your sleep, energy or relationships are being affected, or you feel stuck or you may be struggling with your fertility journey.

Counselling can help with:

  • stress, anxiety, worry or low mood

  • life changes, uncertainty or difficult decisions

  • parenting challenges and family relationships

  • unhelpful thinking patterns or behaviours that are difficult to shift or change

  • the emotional challenges of fertility at any stage of your journey – from trying to conceive and considering treatment, through IVF and beyond, including the impact of unsuccessful attempts

Taking that first step towards counselling is an investment in your wellbeing and an opportunity to feel more like yourself or how you want to feel.

How we can work together

Counselling & Therapy

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress or depression, navigating fertility challenges, grief and loss, or adjusting to a significant life change, counselling can help.

You might be facing changes such as retirement, separation or divorce, the loss of a partner, parenting challenges or menopause. Or perhaps you're finding everyday life more difficult than usual and aren't quite sure why.

Counselling provides a supportive space to explore what's happening, gain perspective and find practical ways to manage life's challenges.

Fertility

Fertility challenges can take an emotional toll, affecting your wellbeing, relationships and sense of control.

Through individual psychological counselling, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with the mind-body strategies and resources from my eight-week Unlock Your Fertility program.

Together, we work to address the emotional challenges of fertility, strengthen your wellbeing and develop practical ways to navigate your fertility journey.

Training & Workshops

Thriving communities don’t just happen - they are created.

I have worked across education and as a community educator, providing practical, interactive and evidence-based workshops.

I work with educational settings - preschool, primary. secondary and tertiary - and with sporting clubs wanting to be more aware of the mental health needs and build a supportive culture that values wellbeing, along with performance and success

UNLOCK YOUR FERTILITY

Research shows that women experiencing fertility struggles have heightened mental health issues including anxiety and depression.

Psychological support has been shown to create significant psychological improvement for those struggling with their fertility.

I offer dedicated fertility counselling, a successful mind-body fertility program adapted from Boston IVF and I have an informative website to support women navigating conception and fertility treatment.

Workshops & Programs

Oxygen for Parents Blueprint

Ever feel like you are just hanging in there, with never enough time to breathe....not enjoying parenting.... and losing a real sense of your own identity?

It is so easy to lose yourself - feeling like your time is spent meeting everyone else's needs. Trying to meet everyone’s expectations of what makes a ‘good’ parent.

You can feel exhausted, unappreciated and overwhelmed.

With my Oxygen for Parents Blueprint, parenting can be joyful, fun and exciting.

Whole school communities

Schools are more than a place of learning - they are central to young people's social and emotional development.

Educator professional and personal development and parent workshops are both informative and interactive. Child-focused workshops are framed within child developmental stages and aligned with social-emotional learning.

You may like to focus on mindfulness, stress management, overall staff or parental wellbeing - Restorative Practices; Circle Time; Social Emotional Learning, or Parenting for the 21st Century.

Live Well, Play Well©

LiveWell–PlayWell© is a mental health & performance-based program specifically designed for sporting clubs.

Help your members and playing group understand, support and strengthen mental wellbeing to enable everyone to enjoy being part of the team, the sport and perform at their best.

Mental health is recognised as a key factor in performance, retention, motivation, and culture.

When players are supported mentally, they’re more focused, resilient and able to perform at their best - both on and off the field.
