About Therese…
“We are all a work in progress. Life changes – that’s the challenge and the beauty”
I am a nationally registered psychologist with 30 years experience.
I have worked with Relationships Australia, the Department of Education, Catholic Education Office, Smiling Mind (NFP) and in private practice. I have provided workshops and training for the Centre for Strategic Education, Independent Schools, and many workplaces such as the Department of Health and Human Services, AusPost and the Department of Defence and the financial industry. For approximately 12 years I have been providing psychological personality assessments and Adaptability Reports to the Australian Antarctic Division.
In 2006 I was formally trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and in 2012 I became a trained meditation teacher. I hold a Master in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Melbourne along with certificates in Positive Psychology Coaching, Positive Psychology in Education, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-based Emotional Balance. I have completed training in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotional Intelligence and Mental Health; mediation and conflict resolution and I am a trainer in Restorative Practices.
I have presented many times at conferences here in Australia and internationally in Budapest, Montreal and Singapore.
In my private time, I love being with my family, following AFL, reading, going to the movies, cooking, yoga, and meditation.
